To simplify the naming convention for the mobile computer, Zebra and Honeywell have been coming out their our prefix for the model. example of the model number as below. Mobile computer technology evolve from DOS to windows CE to windows Mobile and to Android operating system. Different manufacturer is trying to differentiate their mobile computer base on evolving of technology as well as the main interaction between mobile computer with human. DOS mobile computer develop fully base on keypad data input, when come to Windows CE, the user input action becoming keypad plus touch screen and evolve to pure touch screen and now back to touch screen + keypad. Due to this technology evolvement, Honeywell and Zebra is trying to differentiate their mobile computer base on the technology and interaction with human.
